Accessibility
There is a parking lot for people with disabilities at the Maria-Magdalenen-Kirche near the Künstlerhaus and Stadtgalerie Lauenburg. For people with walking disabilities/wheelchair users the way from there to the curb at the Künstlerhaus is barrier-free possible, but we point out old cobblestones in the old town. Alternatively, it is possible to stop directly in front of the Künstlerhaus by car (access to Elbstraße via Grünstraße) and, if necessary, get out/confer with the staff. Access to the buildings as well as all rooms usable by guests is via a mobile ramp. The use of toilets is acccessible in the Elbeschifffahrtsmuseum located next door.

APPROACH
By train
From Lauenburg train station to the Künstlerhaus through Elbstraße (walking distance: 15-20 min.)
from Hamburg/Bremen:
via Hamburg Hbf by local train to Büchen, then change to direction Lauenburg
or via Hamburg Hbf to Lüneburg, change trains there in the direction of Lauenburg
from Lübeck:
Direct connection with the regional train to Lauenburg
from Berlin:
via Büchen, then change direction Lauenburg
from Lüneburg/Hannover
via Lüneburg by regional train to Lauenburg
By bus
from HH / Bergedorf to ZOB Lauenburg
from there into the ditch (footpath at the pedestrian traffic light) down, down past the
church and left into Elbstraße to the right side of the Elbestraße Number 54
(walking distance: 5 min.)
By car
from Hamburg/Bremen
via the A 25 to Geesthacht, then follow the B 5 towards Lauenburg
or
from Hamburg via the A 250 to Lüneburg, then follow the B 209 in the direction of Lübeck to Lauenburg after the canal bridge turn left into the old town until you reach the P-Platz Lösch- und Ladeplatz. From there walk through Elbstr. to Elbstr. 54 (walking distance: 10 min.)
from Lübeck/Schwarzenbek
via the B 207/209 to Lauenburg. At the traffic circle in Lauenburg, follow the signs to Boizenburg/Lüneburg. After the ARAL gas station (left side of the road) turn right into the second street (Grünstr.). At the bottom of Elbstr. turn right to the car park Borkeplatz at the youth hostel and walk back to Elbstr. 54 (walking distance: 10 min.).
from Berlin
Coming from Lübeck/Schwarzenbek via the B 207/209 to Lauenburg. At the traffic circle in Lauenburg, follow the signs to Boizenburg/Lüneburg. via A 7 direction Hamburg until exit Soltau-Ost, via B 209 past Lüneburg further direction Lübeck until Lauenburg
Parking
Parking in the old town on the Elbe is with costs (4 € all day).
Alternatively, free parking is available at the castle (town hall) in the direction of ZOB, street Askanierring. From there it is a 5 min. walk down the hill to the Künstlerhaus.
The Künstlerhaus is located in the Elbstraße opposite the tourist information and the Elbschifffahrtsmuseum.
