Direction: Peter Veale
Oktober 24, 2021 5 p.m.
Maria-Magdalenen-Kirche Lauenburg
Works by Kee Yong Chong, Jonas Baes, Septian Dwi Cahyo (UA) and Dieter Mack.
This year’s programme of the LandesJugendEnsemble für Neue Musik Schleswig-Holstein focuses on contemporary music from Southeast Asia. Composers from Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia will be interpreted by the young musicians, as well as a composition by Lübeck composition professor Dieter Mack, who has been working intensively with the music of Southeast Asia for many years. There will also be a world premiere this year: a string quartet by the young Indonesian composer Septian Dwi Cahyo, who will also be a personal guest during the ensemble’s summer work phase in order to communicate his work directly to the young people – an invaluable experience for the LandesJugendEnsemble. This year’s artistic director is Peter Veale (Ensemble Musikfabrik/HMT Köln), who is supported by lecturers from the Musikhochschule Lübeck.
