In his performances, the Berlin-based sound artist and performer works with a variety of self-built wind and percussion instruments, objects and feedback manipulations. He prepares the concert venue in advance and fills it with quasi-magic tricks, surprises and a multitude of absent sounds. Strickmann’s concerts and performances move between miniature object theatre, musical improvisation and collective listening exercises, always characterised by simplicity of means and a sense of community. In 2018, Peter Strickmann was a visual arts fellow at the Künstler:innenhaus Lauenburg and is currently presenting two of his recommendations for action/audio choreographies on the terrace of the Künstler:innenhaus and in the Stadtgalerie.
As an author, Anaïs Meier has a wealth of experience when it comes to professional rejections. In times like these, when resilience is required at all levels, she invites you to join her in reading rejections. The 2025 literature scholarship holder will return to Lauenburg with a bag full of rejection letters of all kinds (admissions to degree programmes, work scholarships, publishers, flats, relationships) and would be delighted if the audience would like to share their own rejections. Which rejections will be read will be determined by a game of super trump. Of course, rejections may be anonymised.
