Dialogue at smük
Very steep stairs connect the new town of Lauenburg with the old town on the Elbe: Ascanian steps, ferry stairs, stairway to heaven. In the ‘Treppenläufer’ workshop with the current scholarship holder, objects from the genre of tilting toys will be built, which – once pushed – are able to run down a staircase on their own. Various materials and techniques will first be trialled in the Künstler:innenhaus and then performed on one of Lauenburg’s characteristic staircases.

DIALOG IM smük is an event organised by members of the Künstlerhaus Lauenburg e.V. association for members and all interested parties.
The newly designed smük in the Künstler:innenhaus is an open meeting and event space.
